WWW Wednesday

I have a lot of Netgalley books to get through, simply because I had to request them for blog tours and then ended up DNF-ing them for the tour. Once I’m done with those, I will move onto advanced review copies of books that I also need to finish. Only after that will I be able to go back to reading more popular YA novels. Hopefully, by the end of July, I will be able to start with a clean slate.

I don’t know! I have a few blog tours coming up and I plan on making some changes here, and I have a few ARC books to get through. Other than that, I don’t really know what I am going to do with my time. I am considering completing a visual novel and doing a review on that since it still counts as a story actually. We will just have to see!

So, onto the life update!

As you can see on my blog, I was really into blog tours for a while. Now, I realize that I don’t want to spend 90% of my time reading books specifically for tours, and so the tours are going to start winding down. Not completely stopping! Just winding down. I have maybe one or two a week planned in July.

If you’ve been with me for a while, you know that I sometimes go into a gigantic reading slump during the summer months. I was worse this year by signing myself up for a lot of things, so I can already feel a slump coming on. Nevertheless, I still want to keep reading. This year I have joined up with a lot of amazing authors to be on their ARC teams, and I have fallen behind in reading those. Therefore, this summer will focus on pleasure reading and finishing up ARCs so that I start off with a clean slate for September. I definitely won’t be signing up for too many more tours. I just want to work through some of these short novels and write reviews for them.

On that note, I also wanted to mention that I have several non-tour related reviews coming up! I have been forgetting to do them, and so I am about 2 weeks behind on non-tour or release blitz reviews. I also haven’t told you all about any of my Online Book Club reviews, and I have done a few of those too! Hopefully I will be able to catch up before the end of June, and then start off without a backlog in July.

Thanks for sticking around until the end, and I will see you in my next post!

I have a lot more than these that I need to finish reading, and I plan to get through 2-3 books per day, at least, in the next few days. I have nearly completely free mornings until Monday, then I go on a trip, and then I come back right before Memorial Day weekend. I hope to finish 30+ books by the time May is over, to make up for the time that I have taken off. I am sorry for not posting as much as I should have been, things had gotten crazy with school and AP tests. Now that that is all over, I finally have time, and I am really putting my foot into updating my blogs. I still have about 3 or 4 books that I read and still haven’t written reviews on, and I have so many review copies that the book has already come out and I still didn’t get to it. Those are definitely on the top of my list though, and I am getting through as many as I can. Thank you for being patient with me! I will be updating even more, tonight, so keep an eye out!

I am quite behind on review/blog tour books, so I am trying to correct my schedule so that I have enough time to read them properly and don’t have to binge read 10 books in one weekend. I think that I will be able to finish most of them at a decent rate, but I just need the time. It doesn’t help that I signed up for ARC copies of books, and so many seem to be coming out in May. I will be good once this week is over because my schoolwork will calm down for a little bit. But until then, things are gonna be a little wild for me.

This is about….1/3 of the books that I am currently in the middle of/starting to read. I have a lot of books to prepare for blog tours/library books that are due, and so I am trying to get through everything at once! Hopefully next week the number will be a bit more reasonable. I think that will happen once I get through the books that are taking me forever, which include Goliath and Sleepwalker.

See you next week!

What’s crazy is that minus The Radium Girls, I read all of those books on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday of this week! I was on a small retreat, but it snowed almost the whole time, so I was able to just sit in my room and read all day long. I started feeling a slump almost from the sheer number of books that I pushed through, but I have too many new interesting books to read now to be in a slump!
