Taking a break from normally scheduled programming, I’m going to let you guys know what I plan to read next! You guys will be in for a treat pretty soon, I have finally figured out my schedule enough to be able to get a good amount of reading in per week. Thank you all for sticking with me through this rough month, and I promise that things will be more organized and smooth in October! Also, get ready for quite a few blog tours! I am definitely getting back into the swing of things.

TBR Tuesday

What else do you have to review?

Citrus (Anime) – Legendado Online (Completo) [Novo ...

I’ll admit, I don’t watch much anime. However, I have been in a reading slump this week, so I binged all 12 episodes of this anime in 2 days because I didn’t feel like doing anything else. It has an…interesting storyline to say the least, and I plan to review the episodes individually sometime this month.

Any other news?

So, I didn’t quite succeed at my plan to finish every late review copy I had received by the end of the summer. I did get through a lot, and I have finished 214 books so far this year! That’s saying a lot! I just can’t say no to people, and I have had a lot of people ask me directly to review their stuff this summer. I am going to try to get through as much as I can this week, but I have already read myself into one slump, and I can’t afford to do that again with some of the fun tours that I have coming up. I will also probably take a little break next week and only post the reviews for books that I have already read, as I will be starting college! I probably won’t have my laptop yet, as I am still waiting for my honors program to give those out to us, but then once I have it, I will be able to write reviews and read books in between classes. Before then, I won’t have much time as most of my day will be spent on campus rather than in front of my computer at home.

That all being said, I hope you guys have a great week and take some time to read some of the awesome posts that I have scheduled!

TBR Tuesday!

What books have I recently read and not yet reviewed?

I have a few books scheduled for the next few days, as I’ve been reading so much that I had to spread my reviews out! These are only the books that I actually read and haven’t written a review at all, not any of the books that I’ve reviewed but haven’t posted yet.

I will be making a post about my VAV concert experience sometime this week! I really want to share how it went with you guys, so stay tuned.

TBR *Wednesday! Plus Book Haul

I was a little busier than I wanted to be this week, so I didn’t get the change to make my TBR Tuesday post on Tuesday. No problem, as this is my new thing so I’ll just do it on Wednesday

20180814_201507.jpg

This might be a seemingly random selection of books, and it sort of is, but what if I told you that I bought all of these books for a dollar apiece? Yes, each individual book was only a dollar. A few are a bit torn, but they are all mostly in good condition! The hardcovers were also seemingly brand new, and they were also only a dollar apiece. I could have gotten many more, but I didn’t have enough time to search through.

This store is called BookOff, and I went to the NYC store. They also have an online store, and stores in some other cities. Here is a link to their site: http://www.bookoffusa.com/

At the store you could buy and sell items, and some of the stuff I saw included but was not limited to action figures, video games of ALL sorts (including Vita games that I can rarely find and old games for systems like PS2), books for kids, YA, and adult (all had dollar and 2 dollar sale shelves), manga (that I did not get to see so I don’t know how cheap it was), books in Japanese, DVDs, CDs, and probably other things that I did not see. Everything was so cheap, the workers were friendly, and it wasn’t too busy. I would definitely suggest that you go here, especially since the Strand is raising their prices a bit. This is also in walking distance of Times Square, so it’s super easy to get there!

I will do a larger haul once I get the chance to go there again. I wasn’t planning on going there on Saturday and it was raining, so I never got the chance to really look at everything.

Books I have recently read and haven’t had the chance to review

Life Updates

So, I know that I promised to weave in popular books with the reviews of indie authors books. I will still try to do this, but I still want to be able to work through my backlog of review copies by the time September comes. Nevertheless, I just moved into a different room in my house. Now, I have my computer and books all in one place. This may seem to be a good thing, but some complications have arisen in the move. For example, even though my new bookshelf has 2 times the space of my old one, I still have two plastic bins in my room full of books that I bought for myself that I still need to get through. I also have an overstuffed new bookshelf.

Admittedly, things are much better than they were just a month ago! I still have books that I need to get through but I have worked through a significant amount of them. Hopefully, in another month I will be able to say that I have eliminated my backlog, even though I am currently unsure if I will be able to do so.

I have a few more bits of news, but I will alert you guys as they come to fruition. Things are still a little crazy on my end, as I am trying to get my room in order while still pounding through my log of books. I will see you guys soon!

TBR Tuesday!

What have I recently read and have yet to review?

Grace and FuryWinter FlowersLoyalty/Betrayal (Aspects, #5)

I have been better at keeping up with my reviews this week! Either that, or I have just been reading a lot slower than I wanted to. Hopefully, I will be getting to more of my physical non-blog-tour ARCs soon. I am also almost done with my Netgalley backlog as well. Everything has been going fairly smoothly, and I just need to make sure I keep up this pace so that I can keep chipping away at the list.

What am I planning on reading next?\

Aru Shah and the End of Time (Pandava Quartet, #1)Web of Lies (Blood Bound, #3)Divine Fate: The Complete SeriesBring Me Their HeartsMayflyJilliand The Clock Flower

I also have quite a few more that I will be reading and reviewing this week, but I don’t want to make this post too long. I plan to have around 2 book reviews per day on this blog, meaning that on Tuesdays there will probably be three posts going up. This rate will mean that I can get through 84 books before summer ends for me. I am not sure if I will be able to constantly keep up this rate, but I sure hope so!

Any special news?

I just got a Kindle Fire! I was straining my eyes a lot to try to read books from authors that couldn’t send me physical copies on my phone, so I decided to splurge and buy myself the fire. I also go three months of Kindle Unlimited for 99 cents, and I have the Prime bookstore. Hopefully, this will allow me to get through books at a faster rate.

TBR Tuesday!

TBR Tuesday is something that I am starting. I liked to do Top Ten Tuesdays, but they would usually end up with me searching for books that I had never read. I might still do them from time to time, but I would much rather combine my WWW Wednesday post and Top Ten Tuesday post into a different type of update post.

What is TBR Tuesday? TBR stands for To Be Read, and To Be Reviewed. I currently have a lot of books that I have read, but haven’t gotten the chance to review. This will give you all the chance to see what is coming up in future days!

To Be Read

Netgalley

Bring Me Their Hearts

Edelweiss

Booksprout

Love Forbidden (Abberant, #1)Benjamin Forrest and the School at the End of the World (Endinfinium Book 1)

So this is the majority of my TBR. The only reason why I put all of these on here is that I have actually started reading the majority of these, so I am going to be done with 90% of them by the end of this week. They are all pretty short and pretty interesting so it won’t be that much of a burden for me. There are also some review copies sent directly from authors that I want to get through, so I will be working on those and spotlighting them next week. I have a lot on my plate, but I was being serious when I said that I wanted to start the next school year with a clean slate book-wise.

Don’t think that I won’t be reading non-review copies during this time though! I still hope to maybe have the chance to get through the rest of the Harry Potter series sometime this summer. I am currently struggling to get through Goblet of Fire, it honestly feels like the longest book in the entire series. I know it’s not even close to being the longest one.

To Be Reviewed

Divided (Enlightened Book 2)Autumn's Doctor (Daughters of Samuel Fox Book 3)

Harry Moon: Professor Einstone (doesn’t have a cover yet!)

I thought that I had more books to be reviewed, but I actually have a few scheduled for this week as I worked through the stack on the weekend! These are the only three books that don’t have any kind of in-progress review. Oh, and I also have some reviews on the Online Book Club that I never got around to promoting on here so I will be doing that as well throughout the week. They just don’t count because the reviews are already completed.

I also have some reviews coming up soon on Online Book Club, so keep an eye out on my review page here.

Thanks for reading through!

WWW Wednesday Plus Life Update!

WWW Wednesdays are a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words. It’s been a while since I got the chance to do one of these, but here we go!

What are you currently reading?

Monsterland ReanimatedThe Sword Swallower and a Chico KidBring Me Their HeartsRuler of Scoundrels (Chronicles of a Cutpurse, #2)

What have you recently finished reading?

Thomas Paine and the Dangerous WordDoom, Gloom, and the Pursuit of the Sun

What do you plan on reading next?

Pawns (Wielders of Arantha, #1)

So, onto the life update!

As you can see on my blog, I was really into blog tours for a while. Now, I realize that I don’t want to spend 90% of my time reading books specifically for tours, and so the tours are going to start winding down. Not completely stopping! Just winding down. I have maybe one or two a week planned in July.

If you’ve been with me for a while, you know that I sometimes go into a gigantic reading slump during the summer months. I was worse this year by signing myself up for a lot of things, so I can already feel a slump coming on. Nevertheless, I still want to keep reading. This year I have joined up with a lot of amazing authors to be on their ARC teams, and I have fallen behind in reading those. Therefore, this summer will focus on pleasure reading and finishing up ARCs so that I start off with a clean slate for September. I definitely won’t be signing up for too many more tours. I just want to work through some of these short novels and write reviews for them.

On that note, I also wanted to mention that I have several non-tour related reviews coming up! I have been forgetting to do them, and so I am about 2 weeks behind on non-tour or release blitz reviews. I also haven’t told you all about any of my Online Book Club reviews, and I have done a few of those too! Hopefully I will be able to catch up before the end of June, and then start off without a backlog in July.

Thanks for sticking around until the end, and I will see you in my next post!

I have a lot more than these that I need to finish reading, and I plan to get through 2-3 books per day, at least, in the next few days. I have nearly completely free mornings until Monday, then I go on a trip, and then I come back right before Memorial Day weekend. I hope to finish 30+ books by the time May is over, to make up for the time that I have taken off. I am sorry for not posting as much as I should have been, things had gotten crazy with school and AP tests. Now that that is all over, I finally have time, and I am really putting my foot into updating my blogs. I still have about 3 or 4 books that I read and still haven’t written reviews on, and I have so many review copies that the book has already come out and I still didn’t get to it. Those are definitely on the top of my list though, and I am getting through as many as I can. Thank you for being patient with me! I will be updating even more, tonight, so keep an eye out!
