Tangled Peril Review

Tangled Peril is a prequel to the Jake Mudd Adventures series, starting with Deadly Cargo. You can find my Deadly Cargo review here.

In this prequel, Jake has to face down Gammon, a buyer who cheated him on a regular delivery. When he is about to fight him, he receives some help from a woman whom Gammon has forced to work for him. Allie escapes Gammon’s captivity with Jake, and they run off together. While spending time with Allie, Jake learns more about the difficulties of living as a woman in this world.

This prequel truly allowed me to delve deeper into Mudd’s universe. Sometimes, I felt that I could not be connected enough to it with Deadly Cargo, but this one definitely cleared everything up for me. I enjoyed every minute of it, and even though the story was short, I felt satisfied.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a short action/adventure story that takes place throughout space.
