Silent Queen Novella Review

Silent Queen: A Shattering of the Nocturnai Prequel by [Summers, Carrie]

I received this book for free in exchange for my honest review.

Leesa is unable to speak and lives as a servant girl. Usually, no one understands her, but when she meets Eron, he can hear her thoughts. Eron wants to overthrow the city’s rulers, who torment the citizens because of their power. However, he is imprisoned, and now Leesa must take on his mission.

This story is a prequel to the Nocturnai series, and boy what a good prequel it is. I loved this short story, including the characters, and the setting of a world ruled by tyrants.

The only issue I had with the story was the spoiler about Leesa, but I was willing to overlook that for the beautiful storyline. I just wished that the spoiler would have never happened.

I would recommend this prequel to anyone who would like to read an entertaining and mysterious short story with a mute main character.

Overall Rating: 4/5
