The year is 2020 and 14-year-old Bas is drafted into the military with his best friend, Becky. The war seems hopeless until aliens arrive to stop it. Now, Bas must reunite with his family and learn how to find a home in this wartorn world.
I haven’t read a Melony Paradise book before (I think?) but this book definitely set my expectations high! The pacing was perfect and I was drawn into the storyline completely, which is hard to do in a book that is only 88 pages. I hope to be able to read the rest of the Discordant Earth series soon! I am not sure if Bas will be included in the other books, but I hope he is because I definitely fell in love with his character.
