Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Review

New Harry Potter Children’s Edition ‘The Chamber of ...

After a horrible summer at the Dursley’s, an ominous house-elf message, and arriving to Hogwarts by flying car instead of by train, Harry is starting to wonder what his second year of Hogwarts is going to consist of. Sure enough, many things have changed there. For one, there is a new professor named Gilderoy Lockhart, but he does not seem to have that much experience with the monsters whom he fought and defeated in his books. Secondly, strange things seem to be happening to Harry, as he is hearing voices in the walls of the school. Harry, Ron, and Hermione are about to discover another one of Hogwart’s dark secrets in their second year adventures.

I am not quite sure yet, but I think this might be my favorite book in the Harry Potter series. I read this book faster than I read the Sorcerer’s Stone, and I enjoyed every minute of it. My favorite part of the Harry Potter series was becoming immersed in the world of the magical school. I loved the Potter world as a whole, but the school always held a special place in my heart. I wanted them to always be in the school, even when they spread their wings and went on other adventures as the series progressed.

My favorite part of this book was either when Harry was with the Weasley’s at the beginning of the book, or when Harry, Ron, and Hermione were sleuthing together to figure out some parts of the story. I could just feel the bond between them, and it was something special that I hope to see grow as I continue the series.
