Zee is a droid come to Earth to complete her mission. However, just when she needs them the most, her body seems to fail her every time she tries to complete it. She wants to go back to Sifu successful, but the boy Kuta is simply so nice to her. He treats her like a regular girl, instead of a robot. She doesn’t know what she is feeling around him, but she knows that she will not be able to complete her mission.
I loved this novella in the universe of the Ionia Chronicles, and I can’t wait to read more of the books in this universe. I love the idea of robots falling in love with humans and vice versa as it truly puts into question who can have feelings and who cannot. As AI improves by the year, it is becoming more and more likely that these stories could even play out in real life. Therefore, I enjoy reading about them although they are fictional.
