BTS Book Tag!

Ohmygosh the colors are so pretty. Thank you @Bigcitybookworm for doing this tag, and subsequently leading me to it. And thank you Yvette Eclectic for starting this tag.

BTS is a Kpop group that has been out since 2013, but they have started gaining popularity really quickly within the past 1-2 years. Their names in the order that they are sitting in the picture from left to right: Jimin, V, Rapmonster, Suga, Jungkook, J-Hope , and Jin. Their songs are amazing, but their relationship with each other is even more fun to watch. Their behind the scenes videos are probably what I fell in love with, as they are all so close and act like a real family. This isn’t unheard of in Kpop groups, but they are still closer than some of the current ones. Here’s an example of one of my favorite songs by them

Kim Nam-Joon (Rapmonster)

A leader-like character who loves his friends and family.

Carlisle from Twilight. Without Carlisle, the rest of the vampires would be lost most of the time. He’s been around for the longest, and is the wisest of the group. Without Rapmonster/Namjoon, BTS would not be a group. He writes many of the lyrics to the songs, he is VERY smart with a 148 IQ, and he is the ONLY member of the group who is fluent in English. Plus he is the one who can bring everyone together (not that they are ever apart tbh). The only difference I see is that Carlisle is more of a reserved character, but Rapmon loves to have fun.

Kim Seok-Jin (Jin)

A young person who is basically a 40 year old dad

Carter Kane from the Kane Chronicles. The answer literally just smacked me in the face randomly XD but think about it. Jin makes bad jokes, so does Carter. Jin is self-sufficient (he can cook like nobody’s business), and Carter can also take care of himself. And in certain lighting, both all of a sudden look extra hot. Hence, the third guy from the left incident at the Billboard Music Awards.

Kim Tae-hyung (V)

A multitalented character

I am going to kind of go away from the question a bit, and say the character who does have quite a few talents but who also is basically V as a whole. Ron Weasley. V is just as goofy and crazy as him, but they both have good traits that make them invaluable to their teams. I dunno if Ron can sing and dance, but I know he can play a mean game of wizard chess when he isn’t running away screaming from spiders. V can sing and dance, but so silly sometimes.

Park Ji-Min (Jimin)

A character who can go from super funny and adorable to incredibly charming in 1.2 seconds.

Damon from the Freya Snow series. Although most of the time he is simply being funny or relaxing with Freya, whenever Freya needs help he is always there cheering her up or helping her in some other way to the best of his abilities. Although so far (I think I am halfway through book 2) they aren’t together, he is definitely a very romantic and charming character. That’s why he reminds me of Jimin. Although, I don’t think he would go so far as to RIP OFF HIS SHIRT.

Jeon Jeong-guk (Jungkook)

A “baby” character who is underestimated.

WYLAN VAN ECK from Six of Crows. He is so underestimated in the first book because at 16 he is the youngest of the group. But even though I haven’t read Crooked Kingdom, I know that he is going to play an even bigger role because of his growth in Six of Crows.

Jung Ho Seok (J-Hope)

A character that is bursting with energy and is always in a good mood. Literal sunshine.

Levi from Fangirl. J-Hope seems like the type of person to just be friends with everyone, including an ex. Also, correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t remember a part of the story where Levi was depressed or in a bad mood.

Min Yoon Gi (Suga)

A character that seems hard on the outside, but, in reality, is super sensitive.

Suga reminds me of Rhysand from the A Court of Series. Both come off as being very harsh and offputting, but later open up a LOT and have way more emotions than they would like to show. Plus, I feel that Suga would be the one to put aside his own feelings for the good of his family and friends, as he has done that before when he was working many part time jobs at a young age to provide for his family. Plus LOOK AT HIM! If he played Rhysand in the A Court of series movies, would you really be mad? Heck, this jacket looks like something Rhysand would wear.

Wings Album

A book that you connected with on a spiritual level and you don’t think you’ll ever forget.

The Addy series that is a part of the American Girl line of books has stuck with me since I was about 6 or 7, basically ever since I started reading. It is about a 9-10 year old girl who is a slave, who escapes with her mother to freedom, and her life in 1864. I will never forget this series.

A book that reminds you of your childhood

The Cam Jansen series! This book series is about a girl with a photographic memory who solved mysteries with it. I also read this series ever since I could read, and I don’t remember a time during the age of 5-8 where I didn’t have this book near me or with me.

Big Hit Entertainment

A book that isn’t popular but that you love and want other people to know about.

I would love for more people to read the Freya Snow series, because it represents so many different groups of people in one amazing fantasy series. The link to my review is above!

1) Who is your bias/favorite? 

I’d rather not have one as I love all of them equally. My favorite ship is Vkook though!

2) Who is your bias wrecker?

I will answer this as if the question is “Who is the one who sometimes makes you question your stance on not having a bias?” Well, from time to time it wavers between Suga and Rapmonster. But then the others attract my attention and I can’t choose again XD.

3) What is your favorite BTS song?

Either 21st century girls, or blood sweat and tears, or Baepsae, or Fire….I am awful at making decisions.

4) What is your favorite BTS MV? / What is your favorite choreography?

My favorite BTS MV is definitely 100% Blood Sweat and Tears. My favorite choreography is either Blood Sweat and Tears, or I Need U.

5) How did you discover BTS?

One of my best friends was obsessed with them, and went to a concert, so I decided to check them out.

6) What is your favorite moment in a TV show or Reality Show (ex: Weekly Idol) or just your favorite video in general (like behind-the-scenes or live or something like that!)?

Okay, so this is hard. I spend every day watching the behind the scenes. But if I had to pick a favorite, it would definitely be this one.

This just embodies everyone perfectly.

7) Why do you love them?

Because of their amazing talent, and because they are so close to each other. They don’t have any crazy celeb drama, and are just happy making music. That’s something that you don’t see often in the music industry, so it is refreshing. Plus they are hilarious.

8) Which BTS album is your favorite?

I’m pretty new, so I don’t know if I have actually ever listened to every song on a single album yet. But for now, I am hyped AF for the Love Yourself: Her album that comes out in 9 days, and I have a feeling that it will be my favorite.

9) Do You have any BTS merchandise? / Have you been to a BTS concert? (kpop concert in general?)

Well I preordered the album! So when it comes that will be my merchandise XD. And although I haven’t gone, I plan to go the next time they come to the states.

10) What is your favourite live performance by BTS?

This is so beautiful, and proves that they should be able to perform at the next Billboard Music Awards.
