My Review
This story is about a second chance at love. Jeff and Ben separated many years ago, and Jeff continued with his career. He never came out because he never wanted to hurt his family, but ten years into his career, he is pretty much set for life. Even though he didn’t plan to come out, he is beaten outside of a gay club. Now, he either has to deny going to the club, or he can come out to his fans. He chooses to officially come out, and this is when things start to get crazy in his life. He moves back in with his family, and the press follow. Then, Ben starts to come back into his life, and Jeff wonders if his feelings for Ben are truly gone.
I rarely read second chance stories, but this one was so unique that I had to read it. The characters are in their late 30s, and this makes the story truly special. It shows that one can find love at any age.
My only real disappointment was the fact that Jeff and Ben’s beginning of a relationship didn’t start until near the end of the book. However, this was necessary, because it gave me the time I needed to find out about Jeff and really learn his story before jumping into the love story.
I would recommend this story to anyone looking for a unique second chance romance novel with adult characters and strong family themes.
